Use less than you think: about a pea-sized amount is usually enough for the entire beard area. We emulsify it between damp fingertips, then spread a very thin layer. If you can see thick white streaks, you’re using too much—this is a conditioning veil, not a lather.

You don’t need a long wait. We typically massage it in and move straight to building lather. If your beard is particularly coarse, leaving it on for a minute or two while you whip up your lather can offer a touch of extra softening.
